PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently blanking an electrode plate by conducting press treatment on both sides of a plain substrate with a pair of presses having recesses and projections which bite each other prior to a roller press process. CONSTITUTION:Since the pressure of a roller press is 500-2000kg/cm<2>, an active material in an active material filled part is stretched and a substrate is also extended. Since a plain substrate is not extended, a strain is concentrated on their boundary and the active material layer is broken. By previously extending by a specified amount both sides of the plain part of a substrate 3a with a pair of presses 1a, 1b having recesses and projections which bite each other prior to a roller press process, no strain is concentrated on the boundary during roller pressing, and an electrode plate is efficiently branked. |
