PURPOSE:To attain the efficient control of terminal information by controlling the contents of a terminal control table accessed by a main processor with a communication control adapter. CONSTITUTION:The condition of respective terminals is stored through a communication control part 210 of a communication control adapter 200 to a terminal control table 240 which is a local memory. At the communication control part 210, simultaneously when the receiving is completed, the contents of the table 240 are transferred to a terminal control table 120 which is a main memory 100, by a DMA function. A main processor 100, when the communication processing at the high level of a network layer or above is executed, accesses the table 120 and does not execute the writing. Thus, since the rewriting of the terminal control table is all executed in the communication control adapter 200, the control of the terminal information is efficiently executed.
