PRODUCTION OF MICROENCAPSULATED PLATINUM METAL COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To facilitate sepn. as easily flowable powder by washing the particles of a microcapsulated compd. of a platinum group metal compd. with liquid which is the solvent of this compd. but is not the solvent of a polymer. CONSTITUTION: The platinum group metal compd. of periodic table is finely dispersed in a flow medium and the thermoplastic polymer impervious in the platinum group metal compd. or the liquefied precursor of this polymer is added into this dispersion medium. The solid films of the polymer are deposited at the circumferences of the respective particles of the platinum group metal compd. at >=50% of the total weight of the metal compd. and the films and the formed microcapsulated compd. is recovered. The microcapsulated compd. particles are washed with the liquid which is the solvent of this compd. but is not the solvent of the polymer.
