Self-cleaning rear-view mirror of the type with a washing system 47 and drying by a wiper 35 provided with a device for stopping outside the minimum viewing rectangle 27, the wiper 35 being supported and articulated on a spindle 34 perpendicular to the plane of the mirror 32 driven by motor and transmissions and characterised in that the said spindle 34 projects from a circular cutout provided at the top part off-centred on a lateral edge of the mirror 32 and supports an arm 33 forming a spring blade whose end gives a central support 48 on the wiper 35 and is articulated thereto thus defining a connecting rod. The said wiper 35 also being articulated to a second guiding connecting rod 45 defining, together with the first, a deformable parallelogram positioned on an axis 46 beside the first spindle 34 and arranged projecting at a greater height than the first, the two connecting rods being shaped into an L and superimposed. <IMAGE>
