<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to detach an adapter from a magnetic tape device when a small-sized tape cassette is used and to improve the operability of the device by incorporating a small-sized tape cassette adapter in the device. CONSTITUTION:When the small-sized tape cassette is loaded on the device 1, a standard tape cassette is taken out of the insertion slot 3 of a front panel first and then the small-sized tape cassette is loaded in the adapter 7 from the small-sized tape cassette loading slot 4 of a top surface panel. Here, when an adapter switch 5 is pressed, a driving arm 15 rotates clockwise and the adapter 7 is pressed in a standard tape cassette holder 8 and held. Then the magnetic tape is drawn out of the small-sized tape cassette almost along the tape traveling path of the standard tape cassette and then a slide arm 21 rotates to a broken-line position, so that the adapter 7 which is held in the cassette holder 8 is loaded on a tape driving device.</p> |
