The subject of the present invention is a heat recuperator of the type having tubular bundles interposed in a central-heating circuit. According to the invention, a fireplace heat recuperator, especially for a fireplace having a stove (closed hearth), comprises, in order to interact: a first, lower tubular assembly 2 arranged in a horizontal plane above the sole (hearth bottom) 5, a second, upper tubular assembly 3 arranged in a horizontal plane above the first assembly, a substantially parallelepipedal chamber 4, called the boiler, into which the tubular assemblies 2 and 3 emerge, in order to constitute, together with the said network 7 and 8, a hot-water circuit, the central part of the volume of the said enclosure being occupied and penetrated by a third tubular assembly 9 forming a cold-water circuit, called the safety circuit, separate from the hot-water circuit, a front wall 19 of the said enclosure constituting a hearth plate. <IMAGE>
