PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a tab part and the invasion of dust and rainwater in a tire, by a method wherein the inside opening part of the tire is covered with a cylindrical packing body and the both sides of the packing body are bonded to the outer surfaces of the tab parts of the opening part on both sides thereof under pressure to be fixed thereto and the outer peripheral part of the tire is exposed to cover the tab parts on both sides. CONSTITUTION:A packing body 1 is pressed and deformed to be inserted in the inner hole of a tire T and one flange part thereof is brought into contact with the outer periphery of a tab part and, thereafter, the other flange part is mounted according to a usual wheel engaging way. In this case, since the respective flange parts 3, 4 are mounted at an acute angle, the annular projections 6, 7 provided to the leading ends thereof are elastically brought into close contact with tab parts 11, 12 in the vicinity of the outer peripheries thereof. At the same time, the close contact state is well held coupled with the elasticity of the tire itself, and both tab parts 11, 12 and an inside opening part 10 are certainly covered to make it possible to perform the protection of the tab parts and the prevention of the invasion of rainwater and dust.
