CODING METHOD FOR TRANSFER DATA

PURPOSE:To improve the transfer efficiency of information and to reduce the communication cost by controlling a selection circuit via an evaluation circuit so that a shorter coding method is selected. CONSTITUTION:An evaluation circuit LEV which evaluates the length of the input data and a selection circuit S which allocates the input data to a 1st or 2nd coding circuits CF1 or CF2 by the control of the circuit LEV, are provided. Then the circuit LEV compares the method showing the range of an element by the length of the element with the method showing said range by an end code in terms of the coding length. The circuit LEV controls the circuit S so that the shorter coding method is selected. As a result, the overall length of a transfer data coding form can be reduced.
