PURPOSE:To color a stone material and sand to an arbitrary color by calcining the stone material or sand impregnated with a dilute soln. for coloring, then fixing the same with a stabilizer and subjecting the material or sand to finishing by polishing after cleaning. CONSTITUTION:The stone material or sand is immersed for several hours-several tens hours under pressurization in a soln. prepd. by dissolving an org. or inorg. coloring agent in water or solvent such as acetone or ether so that the soln. penetrates therein. The stone material or sand is then pulled up and dried. This stone material or sand is put into a heating furnace and is calcined for 1-24hr at 200-100 deg.C. The stone material or sand is then fixed with the stabilizer after cooling and the surface thereof is cleaned and is finished by polishing.
