NEW MATERIAL:The radioactive compound of formula I [Br* is radioactive Br; R is group of formula II (R1 is H or lower alkyl), formula III (R2 is R1, halogen, lower haloalkyl or lower alkoxy) or formula IV (R3=R1; dotted line represents single or double bond)]. EXAMPLE:[<82>Br]-2-bromospiroperidol. USE:A drug. It has high affinity with dopamine receptor and is useful as a nuclear medical diagnostic agent for dopamine receptor or as a radioactive medicine. It is expected to be useful in the field of cancer such as mammary cancer in view of the relationship between cancer and a dopamine receptor. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by diazotizing a 2-aminobutyrophenone derivative of formula V and reacting the resultant diazonium salt of formula VI [Y is halogen ion, HSO4<-> or anion of formula VII or VIII (A is SO3 or CO2) with a radioactive HBr or metal bromide optionally in the presence of copper powder, etc.
