PURPOSE:To aim at simplification of a process by forming on a metal plate a filament with the powder or paste of a superconducting substance, and then laying a metal plate on top of the metal plate, and further joining these metal plates by means of hot rolling and pressing so that the powder is sintered. CONSTITUTION:On a metal plate 1, which is comprised of a metal, such as Al, Cu, stainless steel and the like, or an alloy, is formed a filament 2 with the powder or paste of a superconducting substance, and then, on top of the metal plate 1 is laid another metal plate. And further, these metal plates are rolled and pressed by heating, and at the same time, the powder is sintered. Thereby, a wire can be formed directly from the powder of a superconducting substance, and it can also be reinforced and stabilized by virtue of these metal plates, so that the process is simplified.
