PURPOSE:To obtain a titled sintered body without generating destruction by mixing a specific thermoplastic resin as a binder with ceramics powder and sintering the mixture after molding and degreasing so that the uniform molding prior to the degreasing is degreased at a low temp. CONSTITUTION:(a) 100pts.wt. polyalpha-methyl styrene or several thousands-several millions mol.wt. such as home polymer of alpha-methyl styrene or copolymer contg. several-several tens % styrene (deriv.), (meth)acrylate, etc., is dissolved together with (b) 0.01-10pts.wt. unsatd. carboxylic acid such as (meth)acrylic acid in a solvent and the soln. is subjected to a heating treatment for 30min-several hours at 100-200 deg.C under (non)presence of a radial initiator to obtain the thermoplastic resin (B) which is the heat-treated polyalpha-methyl styrene. About 5-50pts.wt. component B as a binder is added to (A) 100pts.wt. ceramics powder such as fine Al2O3 particle and (C) a plasticizer, etc., are compounded therewith at need and the mixture is molded to a desired shape. The molding is degreased at, for example, about 400 deg.C and is then sintered at about 1,400 deg.C. |
