The moulding tool is used for prodn. of objects of natural or synthetic polymers, and comprises one or more parts of sintered metal with communicating pores produced by pressing at high pressure, the powder-form work material being sintered at high temp. Several connected wires or a network of metal, metal alloy or plastic, or one or more long, narrow parts of a combustible material other than plastic, pref. pieces of wood, are placed in the powder-form material prior to the sintering process, a channel being formed through the sintered material along each wire or piece of wood. - The wires can consist of copper, copper alloy, lead or lead alloy, and have a melting point which allows them to melt during the sintering process, forming a channel with pref. sealed walls. Where plastic wires, plastic netting or combustible wooden pieces are used, they carbonise during the sintering process, in which case the walls of the channels produced are not sealed. - The channels thus formed are used for moving a gas or fluid form medium for temp. regulation of the moulding tool, at least one channel being used for cooling a part of the moulding tool, and at least one separate channel for heating another part of the tool. |
