PURPOSE:To stabilize operation and to make a response speed fast and constant by generating an active signal with a differential signal corresponding to the frequency of an input signal, and latching the active signal with the differential signal. CONSTITUTION:A differentiating circuit 1 differentiates the input signal and outputs the differential signal corresponding to the frequency. A one-shot multivibrator circuit 2 as a signal control circuit is triggered with the differential signal and generates the active signal. A frequency comparing circuit 2 is connected to the circuits 1 and 2 and latches the active signal with the differential signal. Then the active signal is generated with the differential signal corresponding to the frequency of the input signal and the active signal is latched with the differential signal to switch output signal levels and the active time is varied according to the output signal level to provide hysteresis, so the operation becomes stable. Further, the frequency is compared at each period, so the response speed is fast and constant regardless of the hysteresis width.
