PURPOSE:To save power and to record a stable video by starting energizing to the following image pickup device prior to the switching from one image pickup device to the following one by a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The energizing to a B-camera main body 2 is turned on earlier than a time TA when the energizing to an A-camera ends by a time TG sec. Since the said time of energizing the camera main body 2, synchronizing signals B SYNC from the camera main body 2 are supplied to a synchronization control circuit 6 shown in the figure 1, and thus said signals are phase-synchronized with master synchronizing signals from a master synchronizing circuit 5. When the locking of the control circuit 6 is complete, a signal is outputted to a switch control circuit 7, a switch SWA is turned off to terminate the energizing to the A-camera, and at the same time a switch SWB is turned on to start the energizing to a tripod head 2'.
