<p>PURPOSE:To remove a residual solvent by obliquely setting a filter case housing a filter contg. the residual solvent, introducing heated steam from the bottom of the case to vaporize the residual solvent, recovering the vapor from the upper surface of the case, and condensing the vapor. CONSTITUTION:1,1,1-Trichloroethane accumulates in the three cartridge elements 2 in the filter case 1. The filter case 1 is arranged at an angle of theta to the ground surface, and an inlet pipe 6 for heated steam is connected to the lowermost part 7 where the solvent accumulates. An outlet 8 for the solvent vapor and heated steam is also used as the outlet when the solvent is purified. The vaporized solvent and heated steam are discharged from the outlet 8 through a valve 9 and condensed in a condenser, and the water is separated in a water separator. Since the water and the solvent with less contaminant are almost completely recovered from the spent cartridge element, the residual solvent in the cartridge element can be almost completely removed.</p> |
