PURPOSE:To obtain the titled crosslinked resin outstanding in moldability with high heat distortion temperature, by bulk polymerization, in a mold in the presence of a metathesis catalytic system, of a mixture of norbornene monomer and specific crosslinkable monomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective thermosetting resin can be obtained by bulk polymerization, in a mold in the presence of a metathesis catalytic system (e.g., tridodecylammonium tungstate), of a mixture made up of (A) a norbornene monomer and (B) as the crosslinkable monomer, a 1,4,5,8-dimethano-1,4,4a,4b,5,8,8 a,9a-octahydro-9H-fluorene.
