PURPOSE:To measure antenna input impedance and a radiation pattern at the same time under the same conditions by measuring a signal from a distributing circuit which extracts part of an input signal to an antenna and part of a reflected signal from the antenna respectively and signals detected by plural opposite antennas by an amplitude phase receiver and a computer. CONSTITUTION:This measuring instrument consists of an antenna 1 to be measured, the distributing circuit 2, opposite antennas 6a-6l which surround the antenna 1, the amplitude phase receiver 8, the computer 9, a radiation pattern display device 10, an impedance display device 17, etc. Then part of a reference signal from a transmission source 3 is reflected to the circuit 2 and radiated to the space from the antenna 1 through the circuit 2, and the antennas 6a-6l detect and send those signals to the receiver 8 through the switching circuit 7 respectively. At this time, the signals detected by the antennas 6a-6l are supplied to the receiver 8 and computer 9 to calculate the input impedance, which is displayed on the display device 17; and the signals detected by the antennas 6a-6l are measured by the receiver 8 and computer 9 to display the measured pattern on the display device 10.
