<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a correct profile data with limited variations eventually, by determining an amplitude ratio between high and low pass components of a beat wave to use a data above a specified value as such indicating a profile. CONSTITUTION:A profile meter is provided with an amplitude ratio measuring circuit 60 to measure an amplitude ratio between high and low frequency components of a heat signal. A heat signal which is obtained and amplified with a microwave FM radar by reflection from the surface of a blast furnace load is separated with a high pass filter 61 and a low pass filter 62 into high and low frequency components of each beat signal. These components are inputted into absolute value computation circuits 63 and 64 and a mean computation circuit 51 to output a distance data when the amplitude ratio is large. Then, a lance 1 is moved to a specified position in a blast furnace to measure the level of the load, which then, is withdrawn from a distance computation circuit 51. Thus, the level of the load is measured at various positions to plot. The apparatus thus obtained can reduce variations are compared with the conventional type thereby producing a remarkable reduction effect of errors.</p> |
