PURPOSE:To display a cut surface fast independently of a host by deciding the writing of each picture element to a frame buffer according to flag information (which indicates the way of using two kinds of cut surface buffers for storing information on a cut surface) and graphic form information on a three- dimensional body to be cut. CONSTITUTION:A cut surface processing part 42 reads depth-directional coordinate values at corresponding picture element positions stored in cut surface buffers 41a and 41b every time horizontal, vertical, and depth-directional coordinate values which are judged to be employed by a hidden surface processing part 33 and color information are received. Then, it is judged whether or not a corresponding picture element is displayed from the read values, depth- directional coordinate value judged to be employed by the hidden-surface processing part 33, and a flat set in a register 43 and when it is displayed, the contents of a Z buffer 34 for the depth-directional coordinate value storage of each picture element of a screen display graphic form and a frame buffer 35 for the color information storage of each picture element of the screen display graphic form are updated. |
