PURPOSE:To improve an element characteristic by reducing a leakage current between individual electrodes generated at the time when it receives the casting of a light by means of providing a light shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:The light shielding plate 6 which shades the drawing out part of the individual electrode except the part where the individual electrode 4 overlaps upon a common electrode 2 is provided at the outside of a transparent housing 5. The light shielding plate 6 can be placed at the outside of the trans parent housing 5, and a material, which does not transmit the light, can be freely used. Besides, because it can be arranged in a noncontact state with the individual electrode 4, and further, the light shielding position of it can be set at the best state. The reduction of the leakage current between the indi vidual electrodes and the improvement of the element characteristic can be realized. Besides, by fixing the light shielding plate at the housing, a cost reduc tion can be achieved.
