MANUFACTURE OF ACOUSTIC SENSOR

PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly and to fix surface accuracy by thrusting up a fiber end surface polishing and vibrating film, and inserting a ring and a fixing the vibrating film while holding a ferrule where a fiber is fixed. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 16 and a resin film 17 are adhered and fixed to the ferrule 18 and then its external-diameter part (a) is held by a jig (not shown in figures) to polish the end surface of the fiber 16. Then the vibrating film is thrust up to insert and fix the ring 13 in the ferrule 18, and then the end surface of the ring 13 is polished to adjust the distance between the end surface of the fiber 16 and the end surface of the ring 13. Then the end surface of the fiber 16 is coated with a dielectric multilayered film to form a translucent film. Then the vibrating film 11 which has its incidence end surface coated with the translucent film and its projection end surface coated with a nonreflective film is adhered to the vibrating film ring 12 and further adhered and fixed to the thrust-up ring 13.
