PURPOSE:To improve convenience for use and to miniaturize the apparatus and lighten the weight thereof by providing an operating panel made of a trans parent material for a door body through which the inside of a heating chamber can be observed, and forming an operating switch of a transparent conductor on the operating panel. CONSTITUTION:An operating panel 13 made of a transparent sheet is provided on the front side of a door body 10 having an outer barrier 12 manufactured from a transparent material such as glass or the like. The transparent sheet is formed by folding in two a soft resin such as vinyl or the like showing electri cal insulation and elasticity, and vapor-depositing a plurality of conductive patterns and electrodes therebetween. These electrodes and conductive pattern constitute a cooking condition setting operating switch 25. By this constitution, the cooking apparatus having convenience for use and, a small size and a light weight can be fabricated without impairing observability by sight within the heating chamber.
