PURPOSE:To print a bar-code with high accuracy without lowering a printing speed even in an inexpensive dot printer, by making a plurality of dots in a group to be printed side by side different from dots to be actually printed when the number of dots to be printed are a predetermined number. CONSTITUTION:When a bar-code is printed, it is necessary to print a lump of parallelly arranged dots. Hereupon, the number of printing dots corresponding to a bar width are given as a number-of-dot data signal 211. When a clock pulse is generated in a printing clock signal 221, dot printing is performed at every one clock pulse by the head pin moving in a main scanning direction corresponding to said clock pulse. The clock pulse of the printing clock signal 221 is counted by a counter 223 and the count state data thereof is supplied not only to the data input terminal D of a detector 227 but also to the data input terminal D2 of a comparator 217. When said data coincides with the number registered in a latch 213 at first, the comparator 217 outputs a finish signal 219 from the output terminal O thereof. |
