Carrier assembly for an agricultural roller for flexible connection of the roller frame to a roller unit comprises an axle and a plurality of roller rings An outer, axially running housing 4 is connected to the frame 2 of the roller 1 by means of an attachment 3. An inner sleeve 5 carries the axle end of the roller unit. On each side of the inner sleeve 5 there are axially mounted horizontal bars 6 of flexible material, for example rubber, which connect the housing 4 to the sleeve 5. Through-openings 7, 8 are made on the top 7 and bottom 8 of the inner sleeve. In this way a slight rigidity is achieved in a vertical direction and the inner sleeve 5 can perform a large displacement in the vertical direction, giving the roller unit a good capacity for adjustment to irregularities in the ground. Having great rigidity in a horizontal direction means that the roller unit can only perform a small displacement in the running direction of the roller. <IMAGE>
