<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an input device for a computer, etc., that has simple constitution and can be easily operated by using one of both areas of a flat touch sensor as an input part of a digitizer with the other area used as a touch keyboard. CONSTITUTION:An input operation part of an input device 1 consists of a flat touch sensor 2 which is operated by fingers and divided into two areas 3 and 4. The area 3 is used as an input part of a digitizer and the area 4 is connected to a power supply to be used as a touch keyboard containing ten keys or function keys together with key displays 5. In such constitution, a keyboard function is secured on a single input operation surface of a single input device in addition to the function of the input part of a digitizer. Thus it is possible to easily perform the direct input of positions with fingers, etc., in an interactive way together with keyboard operations in simple mechanical constitution.</p> |
