In the case of an actuating arrangement for the windows in vehicle doors, three supports (1, 4, 5) are fastened on the vehicle door to form a triangular arrangement. While the first support (1) serves to drive the guide cable (3), curved directing rails (6) are provided on the other two supports (4, 5), each directing rail (6) exhibiting an insert (7) for the guidance of the cable (3) running through it. The ends of the directing rail (6) are connected onto the relevant end, assigned to said support, of a guide rail (9) for the carriage (19), which can be displaced with the movement of the window, in such a manner that the ends of the vertical guide rail (9) are plugged onto the widened end (8) of the directing rail (6) and are held between lateral retaining bolts (11). <IMAGE>
