PURPOSE:To suppress change in cornering power upon the wear of tread in a tire for a vehicle by providing a tread part with a means for reducing the increase of cornering power caused by the wear of each projecting part of a tread pattern. CONSTITUTION:A zigzag-shaped tread pattern is formed in a tread T with projecting parts 1 and a recess part 2 and inside the projecting part 1 a cavity 4 is provided along the projecting part 1. The cavity 4 is formed such that at least one of the same locates outside the line coming in line with the bottom face 2a of the groove 2 and the rubber portions 1a, 1a are made to come across the edges of the bottom face 2a. According to the above constitution there is no change in the rigidness of the projection portions even if weared. It is therefore possible to suppress the change of cornering power.
