The spotlight mounting is for false ceilings or walls and consists of a layer of material suspended from supports attached to the e.g. ceiling comprising upper (4) and lower (5) parts. The upper part is secured to the ceiling and cooperates with the lower part which is adjustable in both height and inclination w.r.t. the upper part. - The upper part pref. comprises a core (6) from which downwardly directed sides extend. The core is secured to the ceiling and contains a hole (7) for the passage of the electric cable. The lower part pref. comprises a core (11) from which upwardly directed sides extend and secure to the corresponding sides of the upper part.
