PURPOSE:To execute a prescribed operation of a word processor WP without using various control keys or an input device, by recognizing and outputting a voice of a word for showing a prescribed operation of the WP determined in advance, and controlling an operation of the WP in response to a voice recognizing signal. CONSTITUTION:A voice of 'next' is inputted to a voice recognizing part 1 from a microphone 2 by a node n1, and the recognizing part 1 recognizes a word voice of 'next' and outputs its result to a code converting part 3. The converting part 3 outputs a control code for moving a cursor to the right or downward by a format of a document display on a screen of a display 8, to a control part 4 through a buffer memory 6. The control part 4 executes a cursor moving operation by controlling the display 8 and returns to the node n1. Subsequently, a voice of 'back' is inputted to the recognizing part 1 from the microphone 2 by the node n1, word voice recognition of 'back' is executed, and the control part 4 controls the display 8. Next, said part brings the cursor to a moving operation to the left or upward by one character portion by a display format of the screen 8 and returns to the node n1.
