PURPOSE:To enhance the response of a detector, by a method wherein a noise monitor section is extended until the second noise pulse is detected when a noise pulse is detected in the noise monitor section, and the pulse width and repeated cycle of the noise pulse are measured. CONSTITUTION:The output of a receiving circuit 3 is inputted to a noise detection circuit 7. When a signal is received in a noise monitor section T2, the circuit 7 detects said signal as noise. When a noise pulse N1 is detected, a signal processing circuit 8 immediately controls the noise monitor gate of the circuit 7 and allows the section T2 to extend until the second noise pulse N2 is detected and measures the repeated cycle tau2 of the noise and the continuing time, that is the pulse width tau2 thereof during this time. On the basis of the measured values, the next detection processable point A of time is determined and a transmitting circuit 2 is controlled based on the result thereof to send out a transmission pulse. By this constitution, the response of a detector is enhanced.
