PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosetting tacky adhesive free from stickiness, having excellent workability and giving strong tacky adhesive force, by adding an alkyd varnish to an epoxy resin tacky adhesive and adding a tackifier compatible with a rubber elastomer to the above mixture. CONSTITUTION:An alkyd varnish is added to an epoxy resin tacky adhesive to obtain a mixture which is tack-free under normal condition. The mixture is further added with a tackifier such as xylene resin compatible with a rubber elastomer and the obtained mixture is heated at about 130 deg.C to obtain a thermosetting tacky adhesive exhibiting an adhesive force stronger than epoxy prepregs.
