PURPOSE:To record data throughout a long period with a small storage capacitor by deciding the peak value of the data, calculating a peak time and recording the peak value and the peak time. CONSTITUTION:The data of the quantity of analog measured in a sensor 1 is fed to a data recorder 6 through an amplifier 2. In the recorder 6, the data is converted to the digital quantity by an A/D converter 3, the data is processed in an arithmetic unit 4 to discriminate whether it is the peak value or not. At the time of discriminating the peak value, this peak value and a time from a preceding peak to a peak of this time are recorded in a magnetic disk recorder 5. In such a way, an object to be recorded is concentrated to the peak value and the time between the peaks, thereby, the data can be recorded throughout the long period with the small storage capacity.
