In the case of a very-fine-adjustment head for a machine tool, a slide (9), to which a tool carrier (11) can be fixed, is radially adjustable in a radially extending guide (8) within a substantially cylindrical housing (1). An adjusting member (5) is axially displaceable in the housing (1), and fixed to the slide (9) is an adjusting piece (14), which has a groove (15) which extends obliquely with respect to the housing axis (A) and in which there engages a nose (19) which is provided on the adjusting member (5), projects radially and tapers towards its free end. The adjusting piece (14) is constructed as a disc and is arranged sunk in a cylindrical recess (13) of the slide (9). The adjusting piece (14) can be locked in predetermined rotational positions relative to the slide (9). <IMAGE>
