PURPOSE:To prevent damages caused by a thermal stress of the surface and a tensile stress at exfoliating residues and to extend a life-time of a die by cladding with a reinforcing member equipped with a tapered hole opened outward on a bearing part surface of the container side of the die body made of ceramics. CONSTITUTION:The die body 1 possessed of a ceramic relief part 1b and the bearing part 1a abutted on or fitted to a holding member 3 is fitted to a hollow part 7 of the reinforcing member 2 cladding the bearing part surface 1c of the container 6 side possessed of the tapered hole opened outward and fastened by bolts 9. In the stage of extruding A a heated billet 11, the generation of cracks or damages caused by the thermal stress generation on the bearing surface 1b of the container 6 side and the tensile stress at exfoliating the residues of the extrusion are prevented to extend the life-time of the die.
