PURPOSE:To make heating of plasma etc., with an electromagnetic wave beam of a large output generated by making a differential exhaust of a gyrotron device with an orifice provided on the inside of a transmission part and a vacuum exhaust pump installed in both sides of the orifice. CONSTITUTION:A gyrotron device is differentially exhausted by providing an orifice 12 on an electromagnetic wave transmission part 7 provided between the gyrotron and a vessel including a plasma heated by an electromagnetic wave outputted from the gyrotron and installing a vacuum exhaust pump 13 in both sides of the orifice 12, in the quasi-optical gyrotron having an optical system composed of plural annulus ring mirrors 8. This enables a ceramics output window which has been used in the gyrotron device and confines the gyrotron to a vacuum to be eliminated, and the electromagnetic wave of a large output to be outputted to the plasma.
