PURPOSE:To shift a state to a next state with a simple dial operation by deciding the call of an extension and a line wire according to an elapse time between the first dial operation and the second dial operation of a connected telephone set. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 11 counts an interval time from the first dial operation to the second dial operation, decides no line wire transmission when there is no second dial operation within a constant time and executes a processing based on the dial data. For instance, dials from '1' to '5' are matched to the telephone plug sockets 101... of respective internal lines connected to a main equipment 1 with the relation of 1:1, the dial '7' is assigned to a door phone call, the dial '0' for detecting the busy state of a holding circuit 8 is assigned to a holding, the held dial '0' is assigned to a holding release and the circuit 11 executes an input processing according to this assignment. In such a way, an extension switching and the holding operation can be carried out by one dial operation to simplify the dial operation.
