PURPOSE:To ensure information on a TLB in some program environment against being affected by actions in other program environments by saving information on a buffer when each program is put on standby and restoring the saved information in the buffer when the control is again received. CONSTITUTION:Each program running in a CPU 1 is provided with an area 21 saving information on the Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) for address conversion. When each program is put on standby, the TLB information regarding the program is saved. When the control is again received, the saved contents are reset to the TLB. Thus such disadvantages are eliminated that the TLB information in one program environment is affected by actions in other program environments and performance substantially fluctuates due to situations in operation.
