The subject matter of the invention is a door for a housing in which electrical and/or electronic assemblies can be installed as inserts or push-in units which are accessible via an open housing front, which can be closed by the door, and/or via an open housing rear. The door (1) has a transparent window pane (3) which is held by a frame (4). The frame contains four profile rails (5, 6, 7, 8) which each surround the narrow sides of the windowpane (3) on one side and are each connected at their ends to angle brackets (9, 10, 11). Every two angle brackets have bearing projections (41, 42) (which are arranged on one side of the frame) of a hinge whose centre part projects at a distance between the bearing projections (41, 42) and is part of a bracket (46) which is mounted on the housing (2). <IMAGE>
