STRUCTURE OF UPPER SECTION OF SIDE WALL OF UNDERGROUND TYPE LOW TEMPERATURE STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To decrease a part of the roof of a low temperature storage tank which is exposed from the ground surface, and to obtain a sloshing-proof side wall structure, by providing such an arrangement that the upper part of a vertical side wall is squeezed by a curved wall, and a curved plate is embedded integrally with an embedded support member as a permanently installed molding frame for the curved wall. CONSTITUTION:A curved wall 3 is formed on the upper end of the vertical side wall 2 of a storage tank 1, and the vertical side wall 3 part is embedded in the ground while the outer surface of the curved wall 3 is covered with fill-up earth 4 so that the roof 5 part alone is exposed from the ground surface. A permanently installed frame plate 7 has the same curvature as that of the vertical side wall 2 and has an embedded support member 9 on the rear surface of a curved plate 8 which is formed so as to obtain a concave curve in its vertical inner side part.
