PURPOSE:To obtain a planographic plate material low in cost and free of possibility of plate elongation or slippage even in a printing process not including a gluing operation, by providing layer comprising microcapsules containing an adhesive or a pressure-sensitive adhesive therein on the surface of a base opposite to the side of an image-forming layer. CONSTITUTION:An image-forming layer 3 is provided on one side of a base 5 comprising a laminate layer or a coated layer 2 of a resin on each side of a raw paper 1, and a microcapsule layer 4 is provided on the other side. The particle diameter of the microcapsules used is 0.1-400mum, preferably, 5-100mum. The thickness of wall films of the microcapsules is suitably 0.01-50mum, and the strength of the microcapsules is preferably 0.0001-1.0dyn/cm. Since a printing plate is fixed to a plate cylinder by an adhesive or pressure-sensitive adhesive discharged from the microcapsules, plate elongation is markedly reduced, and color printing and printing on a large number of sheets can be performed. |
