PURPOSE:To obtain an electric charge transfer layer having high sensitivity and high durability by incorporating a specific hydrazone compd. as a charge carrier transfer material into a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The specific hydrazone compd. expressed by the formula I is used for the charge transfer layer. The layer constitution of a separated function type photosensitive body essentially necessitates a conductive layer, charge generating layer, and charge transfer layer. A barrier layer and protective layer are provided thereto at need. Order of lamination of the conductive layer, charge generating layer and charge transfer layer is not limited except that the charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer are needed to be formed adjacently to each other. Any materials which absorb light and generate electric charge carrier with high efficiency are satisfactory as the charge generating material for the charge generating layer; for which inorg. materials such as selenium, selenium-tellurium and cadmium sulfide and org. materials such as pyrylium salt are usable. The charge generating layer is formed by vapor deposition of said materials or coating thereof from a liquid dispersion. The thickness thereof is specified in a 0.01-5mu range. The photosensitive body which is less electrically fatigued after repetitive uses and has the high light resistance is thereby obtd. |
