<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize the size of a reader by fitting an adjusting sensor so as to adjust a focus, removing the adjusting sensor and fitting reading sensor. CONSTITUTION:The adjusting sensor 15 is fitted on a base 9. While the adjusting sensor 15 is observed, focus adjusting screws 10 and 11 are rotated so that a 'selfoc(R)' lens array 3 is shifted in the slit 14 of the base 9, whereby the focus is adjusted. The adjusting sensor 15 is removed from the base 9, and lastly the read sensor 1 is fitted the base 9. Since the read sensor 1 is fitted to the base 9 after the focus is adjusted, there is no problem even if focus adjusting screws 10 and 11 are covered by the read sensor 1. Thus, the read sensor 1 can be fitted to the base 9 which is as large as the read sensor 1, and the base can be miniaturized.</p> |
