The device comprises at least one drum 21 arranged transversely with respect to the direction of the forces exerted on the support by the cable 1 to be supported and mounted so as to be able to rotate freely with respect to two linkage rods 31, 32 both connected to one of the elements constituted by the cable 1 to be anchored and the support 4, and a deformable element 10 comprising at least one turn 13 wound around the drum 21 and a first end 11 terminated in the form of a connecting ring 12 so as to allow the connection to another of the elements constituted by the said cable 1 to be anchored and the said support 4. The deformable element 10 is suitable for being deformed plastically beyond a predetermined elastic limit and has a coefficient of elongation at break greater than approximately 20%. Application especially to conductors and supports of overhead power lines. <IMAGE>
