发明名称 NOVEL MICROORGANISM AND PRODUCTION OF ERYTHRITOL USING SAID MICROORGANISM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain erythritol in high yield, by aerobically cultivating Aureobasidium sp. SN-124-A strain in a culture medium containing fermentative saccharides as a main carbon source, producing and accumulating the erythritol in the culture fluid and collecting the erythritol. CONSTITUTION:Aureobasidium sp. SN-124A strain (FERM-P No.8745), belonging to the genus Aureobasidium which is an imperfect fungus and having high productivity of erythritol is inoculated into a culture medium containing fermentative saccharides, e.g. glucose, etc., as a main carbon source and aerobically cultivated to produce and accumulate the erythritol in the culture fluid. The erythritol is then collected from the culture fluid by using operation, e.g. centrifugal separation, ion exchange or adsorption chromatography, extraction with a solvent, distillation, crystallization, etc., in suitable combination to afford the aimed erythritol.
