Method and arrangement for flexibly fitting at the contour endless, pliable parts

A method of flexibly fitting at the contour endless, pliable parts in grooves of a workpiece surface is described. The method according to the invention is distinguished by the following steps: - the endless, pliable part is placed on the workpiece surface in such a way that its contour coincides with the contour of the groove at least at one point, - at this point a roller is put with a certain pressure force onto the endless, pliable part, and - the roller is moved with defined slippage over the endless, pliable part in such a way that it travels over the entire fitting surface. This enables endless, pliable parts to be fitted in different grooves without a tool change. In addition, fitting in complicated, e.g. undercut, groove forms is also possible.
