The slide frame consisting of lower part (1) and cover part (2) has a circumferential profiled edge (3) which is formed on both frame sides by a rib (5), which forms the frame edge and is symmetrical in relation to the frame central plane, and grooves (6, 7) which run parallel to the rib and are symmetrical in relation to the frame central plane. The cover part (2) is arranged in a flat receiving recess (9) which ends on the groove bottom (61) of one groove (6). A circumferential outer edge of the cover part (2) projecting out of the receiving recess (9) forms the inner flank (62) of one groove (6). As a result, the cover part (2) can be made with a larger area than previously and affords a comparatively considerably wider contact surface (10) for forming connection elements (13, 14), acting in a clamping manner, between lower part (1) and cover part (2). <IMAGE>
