PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of an image and a recording speed by constituting a means which drive control electrodes for controlling the scattering of toner according image information in such a way that plural control electrodes corresponding to interlaced picture elements are driven at the same time. CONSTITUTION:When image information on one scanning line is set in each driving circuit 11, a timing circuit 12 supplies a driving timing signal to odd- numbered driving circuits 11 through a signal line 13a. Corresponding control electrodes 5 of the driving circuits 11 supplied with the signal are driven to record corresponding picture elements. Then, the timing circuit 12 supplies the driving timing signal to even-numbered driving circuits 11 through the other signal line 13b at a time. pairs of corresponding control electrodes 5 of driving circuits 11 supplied with the signal are driven to record corresponding picture elements, thus completing the recording of one scanning line. Thus, interlaced control electrodes are driven at different timing simultaneously, so the resolution and recording speed are improved. |
