PURPOSE:To prevent production of impact, by deciding the start and the end of speed change on the basis of input and output rotations of a transmission and controlling a lockup clutch. CONSTITUTION:An input rotation sensor 11 and an output rotation sensor 12 are provided to a transmission 1. Outputs from both sensors 11, 12 are fed to an electronic controller 14 where the start and the end of speed change are decided on the basis of an input rotation and an output rotation so as to control a lockup clutch. Since proper control can be performed during speed change of the lockup clutch for same type of transmission and under any speed change condition, such impact as blow off of engine or speed change under engaged condition of lockup clutch can be prevented. |
