<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a structure, with which terminal connection can be made easily, by exposing the facing electrode terminals of a display element having split facing electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A scanning line terminal section 105, which is formed by drawing out the gate bus of an active-matrix base plate 101 on which a thin-film transistor is provided, and signal line terminal sections 104, which are formed by drawing out the drain (or source) bus, are exposed at the three sides of the four sides of a display element and the split facing electrode terminal section 106 of a facing (electrode) base plate 102, in which split facing electrodes are provided, is exposed at the remaining one side. Therefore, the two base plates 201 and 206 are stuck to each other under a shifted condition. When such structure is used, numerously provided facing electrode terminals 215 can be connected with an external driving circuit surely and easily.</p> |
